I understand that, but considering the fact that I have never seen a tornado, despite living decades in an area known for them, it is easy to not be overly concerned about them. I wonder how many Californians that have spent an equal amount of time in that state can say the same? The idea of being buried alive in the rubble is not something that I would care for at all.
That's usually on the extreme side, My two most memorable ones were the 1989 quake, which was pretty hectic and lots of damage. The other was when I was just a kid, and walking behind my Grandparents restaurant and it just started rolling, I could see the ground rising and falling, pretty scary at first, but it was like a rollercoaster.
Which is what the majority of them feel like. They all get your attention though.
Tornado's on the other hand, look scary as hell to me. Houses, people, livestock and everything else just flying through the air. :shock:
