This is likely the cause of the crashes. Check your Speedstep and C(#) State settings in the BIOS for your CPU. Make sure they match what is recommended for your processor and motherboard.

This is likely the cause of the crashes. Check your Speedstep and C(#) State settings in the BIOS for your CPU. Make sure they match what is recommended for your processor and motherboard.

I deleted all the data on my HDDs, reformatted, and re-installed windows and haven't have a BSOD since.

I'm not sure how to check speedstep and C# state settings or where to find whats recommended. Since the BSODs have stopped should I even worry about it?

Simple solution

I had the same problem. I searched a lot on many pages, and in the end I found out the solution is very simple: You just have to start windows just with only 1 processor. Open the msconfig.exe, select "Start", select the extenden options and then select to start windows with 1 processor. Now restart your pc and it will work ;)

Anonymous1995: While that is a good suggestion if you have a bad processor and cannot spare the expense for a new one, that is a workaround and not really a solution.

Tbrown37: I would not worry about it since it appears your problem was a Windows related one and not a hardware or BIOS issue. I wonder if a system file check as described in http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html would have picked up the problem Windows files. Guess we'll never know, but I am glad the problem is now solved. I'll add this info to my checks when a 0x101 error shows up. Feel free to mark the thread solved. :)

It looks like you already are well acquainted with this problem or BSOD BSOD 0.0000101 0.0000124 .
Ja was a time when I did not have a BSOD and had one just now , I was just downloading a video from youtube with aTube program.
