Random Bluescreens & Event ID 7001 & 7023 Maybe Freezing my Computer!

I have just freshly installed windows as i just formatted my drive and started from new now i have downloaded all the latest drivers for my computer least i hope i have but i seem to be getting BSOD now and then as i used to get BSOD before so i thought maybe a format will fix that well seems not as i have just experienced 2 BSOD and sometimes some freezes that i have to force restart and also when i was playing a game i alt tab out of it for a bit as i was checking guides after a few times doing that it just sat at a black screen and done nothing.

I have posted the dump file and perfmon file in the zip file below.

Is Windows 7 . . .
- x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? x64. - the original installed OS on the system? Yes. - an OEM or full retail version? Brought by a computer store that custom built my computer. - OEM = came pre-installed on system - Full Retail = you purchased it from retailer - What is the age of system (hardware)? The computer was purchased on April 26th 2012, So hardware is pretty new. - What is the age of OS installation = Was just previously reinstalled after a format.

Arc.sys and adpu320.sys are both a part of the Adaptec miniport drivers. Look for new and updated drivers at the link below. As you can see, they're both from 2007, which might conclude that they're incompatible with some of the Windows 7 modules.

SFC /scannow

We usually ask people to do this command to check if Windows is corrupted. It's the most common used one to check if the Windows files are corrupted. If it'll find errors, it'll restore them.
   Tip
If you're having a custom customization layer on your Aero, it's likely to get restored to default.

Press Start | search 'cmd' | Right-click it
| open as Admin | type SFC /SCANNOW

MemTest86+

Dumps might point to hardware looking at your SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
error message. A good place to start is the Memtest86+, which would test your RAM sticks. Do 7-8 passes and post back your results.

Try to use the Intel Driver Update Utility and see what it's pointing at. Sometimes it can be quite useful detecting what specific drivers you need.

Intel® Driver Update Utility

You might need to hit Ctrl + F5 once or twice in order to make it work.

I don't think so no.
cpudrv64.sys is the System Requirements extension, the one Intel Driver Utility was using. Oh well, let's skip the driver updates for now, just because the driver is old, doesn't mean it doesn't work - we might ignore it for now.

Can you upload the new .dmp? :)

Best Regards,
Frederik.

Okay i did the SFC /scannow

And these are the results as it poped up saying i did have corrupt files and that windows has repaired them i dont know if i should post it but here they are.

If you know what was corrupted could you point it out so i know for sure what i did wrong so next time i can be sure not to make that same mistake. lol

Hey Verenios,

It's definitely great news and we should name it an achievement that sfc /scannow actually found something. Looking at a log file, is like finding a specific person in Hong Kong. I do not know at this time what is fixed, but I will look further in it and report if I found something.

It's great news.

Best Regards,
Frederik.

I'm unsure if your system is clear. I'm trying hard not to be a snuffer. :D
Let's hope for the best. I do have a lot more diagnose plans in mind if we're all lost. Memtest86+ is a perfect place to start.

You may proceed with Memtest86+.

Leave the Memtest86+ over the night if you so desire. By that you'll secure they'll get scanned to the fullest. Not sure if you have a desktop, if you do, plug one RAM stick out, do a Memtest on it, use it in a different slot as well and do a Memtest again. By this, we can assure which stick that could be defected, or which slot could be defected.

I will log off now and take a rest. None idea what time it is in your country, but you can do this another time if you so desire. I'm here all the time. PM me if I don't reply on your thread.

Best Regards,
Frederik.

Ok so i went to bed and done a MemTest and wow i do say Pass 1 took 6hrs so...

Bad News: Pass 1 showed 2 errors with my memory i have all 4 sticks in at the moment so i do not know which is faulty.

Good News: I rung the computer place i got it from and since its only 2 months old it has warranty so all i got to do is take it in and he will do the rest of the tests and find the faulty stick or 2 for me. :)

Good call you're making.
It's usually the RAM that's causing Hardware related BSODs, the good news is that sticks are not that expensive.
If you're able to return it it's a win win.

Good job. :)

Best Regards,
Frederik.

Oh no lets see i still have my computer on me at the moment and is getting sent in this monday coming for a full scan and repair luckily for free since i have warranty but i ran across this BSOD seems Driver Verifier cause me a BSOD and just want to know what driver seems to be causing it to chuck this BSOD at me. lol

Oh yes also my computer was cleaned out from CCleaner as i was making a backup of everything and wanted the computer to be clean and nice when i take it in the shop etc as the computer guy i know already see's why i am crashing and was due to RAM as MemTest picked up so this memdump is a clean as this is the first one after that BSOD crash back when i first posted this thread.

Hello Verenios it's good to see you're back around here!

BSOD Analyse

Yes there's been a Driver Verifier violation. As the Memtest86+ has showed errors, I wouldn't really suspect any driver. In my experience, no matter what computer you're enabling verifier on, it'll find errors, and it's usually Windows based drivers. That's what happened in your case.

Code:
DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the
administrator) and the kernel has enabled substantial checking of this driver.
If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will
be among the most commonly seen crashes.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000091, A driver switched stacks using a method that is not supported by
the operating system. The only supported way to extend a kernel
mode stack is by using KeExpandKernelStackAndCallout.
Arg2: 0000000000000002
Arg3: fffff880037e20c0
Arg4: 0000000000000000

My suggestion is that we shouldn't mess around with troubleshooting while you're expecting a RMA. :)

You can disable the verifier by the way.

Good calls!
Frederik.

Oh by the way sorry to be a bother but i was wondering if in the dump it shows any outdated drivers anymore?
Cause i remember my last dump you said there was 3 outdated drivers and when i rung the computer place up who built it he said to check all my motherboards driver discs or all the other discs and see what they say that they have all the drivers on them and a website to refer me etc haha so i did so and so far they say i have all the latest if not a higher version, But damn im so confused now but yeah. lol
