Hello dandeliondream,
I don't believe it's possible to change the color. Hopefully someone may know of a way.
@Brian,
This is when you have a window open without it ever being in focus (active window). The orange blinking icon for it on the taskbar helps to indicate this to you. If you like, open Windows Explorer, but very quickly click inside Internet Explorer before Windows Explorer opens, and you should see it flash orange for a while before staying highlighted in orange until you view it.
They are part of the taskbar button image there are 4 images for top and bottom taskbar and 4 images for left and right tastbar.
I can tell/show you how to do it with a resources hacker and image editor.
Or
If you are using the default aero theme I can change that for you, using Windows Style Builder and post it here in a zip folder.
If you are using a custom theme you will need to ask the theme maker. It's not cool to change someone else work.
&
This will be a custom theme and you will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work.
Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7
Or
Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes
Need a color and a name for the theme.
Let me know.
