Whatever, it's still rude. Posts like that drive people away.
How would you know that this issue is not a priority for MS?

If it was a priority than why wasn't it fixed before Windows 7 was launched...they didn't just magically discover the issue right after the BETA Era...

They even REMOVED the option to keep folder size...that should be a clear indicator of how they feel and the direction they are going to take

If you think I was rude than you are sadly mistaken...

Why aren't thousands of people posting in this topic by now?
Is it because windows 7 sucks so much that people didn't get it again, or is it because everybody uses a single window for the whole os? Or maybe there is a much more popular forum that deals with this thing and I don't know about it?
I'm new to Windows (Mac guy), but I know on the various forums I visited, very few people even understood what I was talking about. Apparently lots of people do use single window mode and those who don't have no expectations that things should stay where you put them.

In fact the majority of those I spoke with thought forgetful windows was a nice feature. Boggles my mind but then again I am accustomed to an OS where everything stays in its place so it very well could be a workflow thing. Either way I became frustrated with it and the general nasty bickering that goes on in the Windows community so I'm back in Mac land.

I hate paying a premium for my platform, and actually pretty much dislike Apple as a company, but I enjoy their OS and the wonderful community so it's worth the price I guess. Nevertheless Windows 7 was quite nice and I plan to keep running it on my netbook. I'm just not going to use it as my main OS.

Hopefully this feature gets sorted out for you in the future.

both you guys need to growup. zidane24 you comment was and is rude. joey most windows users expect their windows to stay the same size each time they open them. and it is not just remembering the window size. it is not being able to reduce the spacing between icons. it is having no choice but to have the explorer tree in every folder you open. do not get me wrong microsoft over all got the os right for a change, however removing features that people do use is going to piss them off.

I responded in a truthful and non rude way...exactlty why do you think I need to grow-up?

    Like I said...I don't sugarcoat the truth

Please show me some statistical data that the majority of Windows users (90%+ of the market) want their windows to remain the same size and position when they exit. I will completely recant my comments then

Maybe this will make you happy.

It's for Vista but I'm pretty sure it works for 7 to.

Make sure you read METHOD TWO carefully!!
You'll find a reg file with the registry hack.

    Good luck.

I restarted Windows and it remembered the folder settings...

I hope this can put this little scuffle to rest...
