Solved Set drag and drop to copy not move

Hey

What i want to do is set the default action when i click and drag a file to a different location to be to copy not to move it.

Any ideas on how i would do this?

Sorry, but there is no way to do that I'm aware of. :(

However, you could add "Copy to Folder" and "Move to Folder" to the context menu to make copying files to another location easier to.

The default of Move or Copy changes depending on whether you are working on the same drive or different drives. If you drag to a folder on the same drive, the default is to do a Move. If you drag to a folder on a different drive the default is to Copy. You can use right-click drag instead of left-click drag which will allow you to select to Move or Copy.

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
The default of Move or Copy changes depending on whether you are working on the same drive or different drives. If you drag to a folder on the same drive, the default is to do a Move.
