i5-7200U graphics driver for Windows 7

Dear Windows 7 Forum board
The HP Probook 450 G4, HP says they will only support windows 10 on it, but install windows 7 on the hard drive, windows 7 other drivers all install, apart from the graphics leaves that standard VGA driver on there.
go to the intel website and the i5-6200U and the i5-7200U graphics are exactly the same, but you try to install it and get the usual pc doesn't meet the requirements.
has any one been able to install a windows 10 driver to a computer and get it to work.
I am also unable to get another monitor to show with just using the standard VGA adapter driver.

Hello mevanspremier now I have looked at the HP site and for that notebook it seems only Windows 10 is supported for drivers for what you want (I have to say the HP support is somewhat lacking in my experience) .

But I did some digging around and found this Download Intel(R) Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.45] < now in the listing it is listed as supporting the Intel 620 graphics so is worth a try.

Ok mevan now I linked those drivers only because Ionly know what your machine is and from the CPU model know this is a very new machine. Now and from my own experience with new machines some are now built to only support Windows 10 and if I am not terribly mistaken this is what is happening to yours.

A query did you buy this machine with a Windows 7 downgrade? Because I have a couple of Asus machines that I bought as just that and to load 7 drivers I had to update the BIOS to do so.
Now before you go diving in and do anything in there a warning - updating the BIOS can be a risky thing unless you know that that is what you have to do.
I would strongly advise you to research and inquire from the manufacturer (HP - again) or seller (sometimes the seller is not that competent) before you do anything along those lines because a mistake can wreck your machine if not done correctly. If you do contact HP then you need to be very assertive to find out what you need to know.

Edit: Just for my interest can you let me know what model laptop that machine is on the bottom of the machine there will be a sticker with that on it.

you might have the graphics driver but are missing something else. Try the intel auto update site to check

also, I was just checking around and here's someone with a problem similar to you, only had basic VGA running, and intel support was able to tell him how to manually get a win7 driver loaded on a machine that is supposed to just be win10....

Skylake and Kaby Lake processors MAY or MAY NOT work with Windows 7. If it still doesn't work after many tries then consider going back to Windows 10.

Microsoft already killed support on these processors for Windows 7.

Yes mate I agree and have read that too from researching this issue.

Last month I ditched my z68 motherboard running an i7-2600k, swapping it out for a new Z270 running an i7-7700k, and the new system booted up the first time on the old hard drive, had no problem downloading the new hd 630 graphics that are on the 7700k, system runs perfectly. Microsoft "does not support it" but that doesn't mean it does not work.
