Logic Tech Camera C922 PRO STREAM WEBCAM 1080p/30fps - 720p/60fps

Hi, Im having a hell of time getting this camera to work. Logic Tech Camera C922 PRO STREAM WEBCAM 1080p/30fps - 720p/60fps
I have downloaded and installed drivers from the logic tech site and the plug and plug and play automatic drivers, separably several times, uninstalled in device manger, restarted reinstalled. I have run Norton and Malware and my pc seems clean.
Another strange thing is the camera has a nice mic and if I go device manager and run texts it seems to be working.
Anyway Im about to return it to Walfart and get something else. But logic tech stuff is pretty good and I hate to give up. Ty for any help or advice.

    Hi-

    Perhaps this tutorial will help-

Logitech C922 Tutorial - Bing video

You didn't describe when or what the problem occurs. If you don't get to the installation screen, you might try a different USB port.

Hey Ty for the reply and link, I watched it and I dont get the installation screen she gets saying logic tech, i just get the pop up bottom right saying installing plug and play device. I also have the camera software but the camera doesn't work, no image. I have changed ports. My 8 year old kid pulled the plug out on the initial 1ST install. But I have deleted the camera in device manager and made sure it was gone before I have reinstalled 20 times. Maybe if i upgrade free to win 10 it will work, but i dont want win 10 ya know:) ty

Just trying to understand. Where did the camera software come from? Does it provide the ability to start the camera? Might help to see a screenshot of the UI.

    According to this page-

Downloads - C922 Pro Stream Webcam – Logitech Support + Download

There was an update to the G Hub software in January. It requires the C++ redistributable 2019. You can get the x86 version here-

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...al-c-downloads

    for manual installation.

I don't like that it affects C++ 2015 and 2017 installations but that's the way Microsoft does things.

Although the model number may have been active for a few years (2015) the image above shows the camera with a "Logi" logo. This change from the traditional "Logitech" logo occurred relatively recently, (In the last two years if memory serves), So @wither 2 could well be correct with the driver/software issue

Excellent observation. I had no idea that they would change something like that and wouldn't have ever suspected it since he just bought the camera.

What you will also find is that modern USB devices will work out of the box, to a degree, as Windows contains basic drivers for most general classes of peripherals, eg. Printers, Mice, Keyboards, and WebCams, (windows 8 includes more functionality in these default drivers, and Windows 10 Even more), but the hardware will only work to it's full capability once the fully specific hardware drivers from the manufacturer are installed, and in some cases setup correctly, (Again there can be a basic level of functionality which can be fine tuned to meet the needs of the user)
