    Driver Touchpad Dell 7490

I have a 7490 that I have been using for quite a few years with seven running perfectly.
The only problem I've never been able to fully resolve is related to the touchpad.
I can get it to load the drivers at this address

Win7 driver for Dell Latitude 7490 touchpad

it activates and works, but it is not detected by the Dell Touchpad control software, it sees it as generic and obviously the pad is not accurate failing to load the specific settings of your control panel.

Instead on a 7390, I used the same drivers and the touchpad works perfectly since it also loads the control panel. I also tried inverting the hard drives, but it only ever fails on the 7490.

Do you know if there is a way to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

So, talaloni's post says the following:

Then you will need to install the drivers for the "Alps I2C HID Device" and optionally the "Dell Touchpad" driver that includes the touchpad software (if you don't install the latter driver then the generic mouse driver will be used).

He also mentions needing to mod some INF files with the hardware ID which apparently were attached to his post but are no longer there.

This is a hack and unless you know how to do this correctly it won't work.

What do you mean by "inverting the hard drives?"

I already made this change a few years ago and at the time the drivers were attached to the post and I keep them as a backup.
I swapped the hard drives meaning I unmounted the drive from the 7490 and mounted it in the 7390.
I bought a batch of 10 of these models that I use in the company with seven and for this reason I can do all these tests.
