Company Of Heroes - license invalid

I bought Company Of Heroes a few days ago. Just tried to install it now but in that section I must enter the license code from the back of the booklet it tells me that my license code is invalid. The case was still sealed when I bought it.

Before anyone tells me to just return it... duh... I wanted to ask if maybe this is a common error. COH is quite old (2006) and I'm running Windows 7 Pro. Any ideas?

PS: I took a photo of the screen showing the entered license code, the code on the booklet and the error message. Don't know if its wise uploading codes here though...

You could also try calling the company who made the game for another code.

Edit: Unless you bought it from E-bay or something, then they'd probably just tell you to buy another copy from a store.

There are a very few rare occasions that a key could be printed wrong. I'd say go trade it in for another copy stating that the cd-key won't work, and see if that key doesn't work.

i suspect someone has used a keygen and claimed the key before it was used legitimately, i'd call up the store you bought it from and ask them what the next step will be, they will most likely replace it.
