    Dota 2 crashing to desktop


    Hello everyone,

    for a long time my girlfriend is having problems with Dota 2. The game keeps crashing randomly and just closes itself.

    We have tried the following to fix the problem:
    • reinstalled Windows 7
    • updated all drivers, bios and hdd firmware
    • checked for overheating, but temperatures look fine
    • ran Memtest for about 4+ hours, no errors
    • started Dota 2 with several different launch options, in OpenGL, vulkan, dx9, dx11, 32bit and 64bit
    • deleted external software like NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Logitech Gaming Software for custom keys on the keyboard


    All these things didn't help. The crashes can be very frustrating, since may we have experienced about 120 crashes. Minidumps are still available and I will attach some of them(randomly selected) to the post.

    Here are her system specs.

    Solved. The problem was a bad RAM stick.
