Hi so I've been having a weird issue lately where I've noticed that after I boot my computer up and play say final fantasy 14 for a while, after about an hour to two hours of my system being on something in the background must start up forcing any game programs in full screen to minimize. My problem is if that is the case I have no idea where to look or how to pin point what program pops up during this time causing this to happen, I've tried looking at event viewer and the only thing it shows during the time is that the program I'm playing had a application hang (which only happens from history 3-4 times a month) if the program doesn't end up having that issue it'll just minimize and I'll be able to click on it again to bring it up minus the annoying interruption.

below is what event viewer shows for the application hang but I don't think that's the main issue, finding out what program starts up or takes over control in order for my games in full screen to minimize is the major cause.

The program ffxiv_dx11.exe version 1.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.

Is there a DX9 mode for your version of FF? If there is (some games have both DX11 and DX9 modes), try running in DX9 mode and see if you get the minimization problem. That would narrow the problem down to the DX11 mode, and maybe we can figure it out from there.

I had created a topic in this forum for dx 9 and 11 modes, and i have also seen games running in dx 11 mode, minimizing cause of other apps, for example when someone msg me in viber or calls in skype, while in dx 9 that never happens.
