Oh! It comes with 4 recovery disks.. Do you think they contain 64-bit OS?
Those recovery disks will install the 32 bit OS, pre-installed drivers and pre-installed apps including Toshiba crapware. If your computer came 32 bit, 32 bit is what will be installed, not 64 bit.
When I booted up the recovery disk, it lets me choose between 32 bit and 64 bit.
Back up everything first. But now i'm 99.9% sure your COA key will work with the 64 bit.

When in post, I can select to boot from the USB-key "normal" or as a UEFI-boot
If I choose "normal" it boot right away, but if I choose UEFI,...
I have an HP Pavilion dv9812us Entertainment PC that had Vista Home Premium 32-bit installed on it. I performed a fresh installation of Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on it, and ensured that all Windows Updates and HP drivers were installed. Unfortunately, I do have one problem as a result of this upgrade....
I Built a new computer for myself a while back and gave my old one to my brother... The thing is that I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit for him and I planned to get a key after the trial time was up but I never did it and he's getting tired of the reminders to activate now that the trial has run...
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/7943-install-windows-7-fast-without-dvd-usb-device.html?filter=Installation%20and%20Setup
Would that tutorial work to install Windows 7 on a USB external drive, since the setup of windows 7 deosnt let you install on a USB, but this seems to bypass setup.
I have preordered the Win7 upgrade comming in October (I have selected the download option), will it be an iso file to burn to a dvd? And I imagine that I will have to restore the backed up image of my Vista install before I try to install the Win7 dvd made from the downloaded file when I finally...
