Welcome to all the New Members
Hello annabananna and welcome to the forum...
Maybe doing a sfc will help, here are the tutorails...
After running the sfc scan if there are any error's then run it 3 more times, it repairs a lot more by doing this, plus you will not lose any data by running the sfc. So please try the virus and malware first, then do the sfc. If you find that you are having any problems understanding any of the instructions please post back and there is always someone here to help.
SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
I always recommend that you run..
1. Run a full updated AV scan using your internet security, if you can't in this case maybe we can work around it.
2. Download malwarebytes and run a full scan, use there FREE version...If they come back clean then we can rule out any virus or malware causing the problem.
