sygnus, unfortunately reading glasses don't help with macular degeneration. I wish they would.

I meant no harm. We all have something going on. My eyesight isn't what it used to be as I find I can't read crap without my reading glasses
I agree, I'm sorry . But am I doomed?
Thanks
Yeah as I said earlier, unfortunately I have no answer for you with regards to transfer speeds with your USB 3.0 device(s).
I would suggest you visit the manufacturer of the item and see if there are any issues reported there. It may be that a firmware update is needed on the device.
Let's not forget a lot of this USB 3.0 stuff is relatively new so expect some growing pains.
Again, check the manufacture's site to see if there are any issues reported.
Good luck, and keep us informed.
Thank you as I've contacted DELL and told them. In fact, I've been in contact with DELL for 2 months now and with 2 replacement computers and 1 upgrade from an i5 to i7 (waiting on it), it seems like that is what is needed.
I thank you and everyone else who has placed their 2 cents in.
Would be interesting to see whether the i7 will really make a difference (I doubt it). My USB3 system has an i7 - but since this is the only system I own with USB3, I have no way of comparing.
Yeah I have to agree with whs. I don't think an i7 will make a difference. And if you do see a difference, it may be because there was something wrong with the old system anyway.
Good luck though.
Peace.
sygnus21 - I see you have an i7, and by any chance do you have usb 3.0 speed? If so, what drivers or software are you using and what are the dates of these drivers?
