    Move search bar to desktop?


    Does anyone know if it's posible to create a desktop shortcut for the start menu's / search box?

    I believe a shortcut containing

    %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe search-ms:

    Will result in what you are after.

Can't move items onto desktop

I am able to copy and paste items onto my desktop. I can right click and create a new folder or text file on my desktop, I can move folders onto my desktop, but I can't move files from anywhere else on my hard drive to my desktop. Attempting to move a file to the desktop does not return any error,...
I would like to have search bar permanently moved to my task bar, is it possible? I have a program which allows me to use the search bar to search many sources quickly and easily. It would save me having to jump into a browser in order to conduct the search. No I don't want the google search bar.
