Upgrading Vs Clean Install
I'm not sure whether to clean install x64 Windows 7 or just "upgrade" my current Vista Ultimate x64 to Windows 7.
(I was running the 32bit until the 64bit appeared and i deleted it's partition)
I can always reinstall Vista again in August, but once I've installed the beta I'm not gonna be using Vista (i primarily use Ubuntu) so it seems a waste of disk space to just leave it intact.
Upgrading would save me the hassle of having to reinstall CS4, Browsers, OpenOffice, iTunes etc - which gets tedious.
However, would an upgrade over install result in reduced performance? Or does it just shuffle everything into a .old folder and that's that?
Like i said, my main OS is Ubuntu, so it's not like my Vista is "essential" and if windows 7 x64 is dire (which given the 32bit i was running until a few days ago was solid as... something solid.) i doubt i'd be changing anyway.
