Microsoft may have gotten it working for mainstream applications (IE, Office, other common office apps, etc.) however resource intensive applications for CAD, content development, etc. still cause a lot of problems in my recent experience.
This isn't limited to software either. Some motherboards just don't like sleep and/or hibernate. Certain bios options can affect it's function and some manufacturers ACPI drivers are bunk (as are the ones from Windows Update half the time.)
It may work, it may not. I wouldn't trust it with important or mission critical data.
