    2. Games, Age of Empires 3, and games like that arent made to work on vista(but can still work :P) CANNOT work on Windows 7 rtm... Or atleast i think so, i gotts test it out a little bit and stuff.
Diablo II was a pain to get to run on Vista properly but it works fine on 7. I had to set Diablo II to disable Aero every time I played it in Vista, but in 7, I don't have to really do anything.

I finally found something I don't like about Windows 7.

It's people installing it without any experience on setting up an OS, then start changing services, registry entries, disabling security settings, trying a dozen different drivers, ignoring all warnings they get from the OS,

and then come here and say. "My computer crashes, any idea?"........

next ignore all good advise and warnings they get from us, getting themselves deeper and deeper into trouble.

And on top of it all just disappear without a word.

for the rest, I am completely satisfied with Win7

Lets say you buy a car.
That car works fine, just like any other car that you have driven.
But then all of a sudden the goverment thinks its good for the ecology to drive with square wheels.

You find yourselves unable to get forward, because physics teach us that square wheels do not work in this universe unless you drive on a road that is made out of soggy mud.

Only a handfull of roads on this planet are made out of that AND meant for normal cars.

Upon being asked "why did you buy square wheels??" I reply : Why does your virtual machine based XP mode not work!?.

    Long story short:

My story makes no sense, and so does this "design flaw" of the xp mode.
    great post +1

I don't know what happened about that guy - I decided to tidy up my subscriptions a short while ago and managed to unsubscribe to a load of threads I never meant too - including that one

No, it was an accident honest

Reading through the last couple of posts I actually forgot what this thread was about! OH yes! What you don't like about 7. Erm....... I love everything EXCEPT the memory and CPU usage. It spikes up to 77% when I open a program and then goes back to like 15%. It's waay better than Vista, Not as good as XP. But I still prefer 7 to XP. I mean (Since somebody has already used cars as a metaphor I think I should too ) who would use an old banger rather than a brand new car (With a ton of more features, being more easy to use and doesn't break down,BSOD, as much) just because it uses a little less fuel. I wouldn't! I don't know about all of you.
