Activating Partition

    Activating Partition


    I tried to use the following but no luck--please advise

    1. I used MSCONFIG

    2. Selected BOOT

    3. Selected C as default

    3. I hit save as default BUT it didn't work

    Disks are marked active in the disk management control panel. Type disk management in search.

    Check this tutorial, which explains how to make a partition active: Partition - Mark as Active

    Remember you can only have one active partition per drive.

    It will also help if you post a screenshot of your expanded disk management layout so that we can give you best advice.

    Marking an inactive partition Active will not alone write the System boot files to it and start WIn7. It requires also Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times

    What is it you're trying to do exactly, and why?
