    Startup Repair and Problem Booting

    Please Help!!!

Yesterday, my laptop battery was dead and I plugged it in to charge and started it up. Upon Startup the cord fell out and died. When I plugged back in and restarted, it recommended me to use "startup repair" or Start windows normally. I chose start up repair and now it says start up repair cannot be used to fix problems and the details suggest the Version of Startup Repair is not consistent. I have tried Chkdsk and this Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery
to no avail. I tried System restore points and the restore notice "retrieving files" justs runs and runs forr hours so it does not seems to be working. Does anyone have a suggestion. I would like to extract my data if at all possible. I am not technically minded so any suggestions would be SO appreciatiated.

    Thanks

Hello TYA, welcome to Seven Forums!

To start, there is a way to copy out the date if all else fails; have a look through the information in this tutorial at the link below.
