    Windows "swinging open" on desktop

i hope this is in the right category , but it's driving me nuts, how do i stop all the panes from "swinging open" when i move my mouse sideways on an open window, they sort of "tile" on the desktop.

    Thanks
    Gord

Open up Computer or a Windows Explorer window and go the menu bar>Tools>Folder options and see if the click option is set for single or double click. If you find it set for single change that to double click to see if that will clear things up for you.

By the way you are in the Customizations section. I'll see if I can get someone to move the thread for you over to the General Discussion section.

If you are dragging a window to the side, it will automatically fill half the screen, that's a function of w7. Stop the drag before you reach the edge of the monitor.

    Hello Gord,

Do you mean Flip 3D like in the screenshot below?

That's a good observation there too! Shawn If it isn't from having a touchy cursor problem when moving the mouse or touch pad's cursor around the Flip 3D takes everything open and scrolls it.

You're most welcome Gord. You might also check through all of your mouse settings in the Control Panel (icon view) to see if there may be an option to turn that feature of the mouse off if you would still like to be able to use Flip 3D when you like without the help of the mouse.

Review the guide on how to enable/disable Flip 3D in the Local Policy Editor. Once you disable it there all you do is a fast logoff and log back in to never see it again.

Back when 7 was still in beta I remember toying with that a bit and even coming up with a few wallpapers.
