show hidden files folders (exclude files)
Is there any way in windows 7 the show hidden files and folder and show system files, however hide only desktop.ini's and thumbs.db? Don't need to seem them. Annoying.

Hello event3horizon,
The only way that I know of would be to have Show hidden files, folders, and drives selected (dotted), and to check the Hide protected operating system files box. Of course, all hidden protected OS files will hidden as well.
If you like, you could use the context menu from either step 2 or 3 in the tutorial below to quickly toggle to show or hide all hidden files when you like. This way you see them all when you want to, and none when you don't.
Hope this helps, :)

thaaats Neat!! I've always wanted something like this. Grew tired of folder options. This alternative would work fine. Thanks!
While we are at it.. is there one that just toggles "hidden system files"? Because I always have my "show hidden files" checked anyway.
You're most welcome.
For only hidden system files, you could use either step 4 or 5 instead. Step 2 and 3 is for both hidden system files and protected OS files.
