Libraries - don't want any sub-folders
I have a new computer and would like to set it up as my previous computer was set-up. A computer tech set it up.
Previously I could click on the documents library and all my documents would show up. Now I have sub-folders and I have to click through about 3 sub-folders to come to my documents. I am the only person using the computer. I would also like to computer to go to the desktop on start up rather than for me to have to click my name to get to the desktop. I hope I am making myself clear. Thanks |

Some of these tutorials might help. A screen shot may help with sorting out your libraries.
Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums Log On Automatically at Startup Libraries - Restore Default Library - Include a Folder |

Can't search within Libraries' folders I haven't been very lucky with Libraries. First case was a few months ago when IE8 couldn't find items within folders in Libraries. Now, I can't really search within any folder in Libraries -- not in Documents, Videos, Music, etc. I can search from within Favorites, in any folder. Is this... |

Libraries and MY folders? Hi in libraries there is say Pictures, > My Pictures, which duplicates the folders contents. In XP there used to be just My Pictures, etc, can I delete MY Pictures and just have the first library etc, ie click on Pictures > open pictures ? Or is there a reason behind this that being a novice I... |

Libraries and folders The advent of libraries appears to be a major step forward with Windows 7. It seems a very smart idea. But I'm a bit confused about how libraries integrate with folders. I generally move my folders locations to a separate drive from the OS to keep all my data in a single easy to backup place,... |
