MouseKeys settings won't save
Hello. I wish to enable the MouseKeys accessibility feature, but it won't save the options when I save them.
What I did:
1. Went to "Ease of Access Center" > "Make the keyboard easier to use" > "Set up Mouse Keys". None of the boxes were checked.
2. I checked all the checkboxes for options I want, including "Turn on Mouse Keys" of course.
3. I press OK and it takes me back to "Make the keyboard easier to use". I notice that the checkbox for "Turn on Mouse Keys" is not checked.
4. I go back in to "Set up Mouse Keys" and nothing is checked again.
Those are the basic steps, but I also tried these to no avail:
- Pressing Apply then OK (pure superstition, I know :)).
- Enabling the checkbox on the "Make the keyboard easier to use" page instead of the settings page.
- Clicking OK repeatedly all the way out before looking at the settings again.
- Going into the settings from "Make the mouse easier to use" instead.
- Trying Ctrl+Shift+NumLock to see if it turned on and just wasn't showing it.
- Searched the internet to try to find a similar problem. the closest I saw was someone's networking settings not working because they didn't have all the right windows services activated, so I looked through the services but didn't see anything obviously related to windows settings or accessibility.
Please help me work out what is stopping the settings being saved.
