    Extremely confused computer startup issue

Alright, here's how the story goes. I woke up this morning to find my computer shut off. This is not unusual considering my brother does it often. As I started it up again to get to work, it blue screened on me. So I just let it restate and go into start up repair. What happened next? The computer sits there on a windows looking screen. I let it sit there for a long while (roughly 30 minutes) and the repair window comes up with the command prompt. I leave it be to do it's work, and go back to sleep. (this was at 5 am) I wake up again around 10 AM to find the computer still was not finished. I was iritated but shrugged it off and went off to have dinner with a few family relatives. I return again at 5:30 PM to find it still had not finished! I once again have restarted it and have tried the F8 and F12 and space bar methods multiple times now with no luck of getting to the Advanced Boot Options either. Is there any solution to my problem here?

Hello Marc, and welcome to Sevenforums!

Please keep in mind the problem could have to do with your hardware going bad. Unplug every external/peripheral item that you don't need, including external hardrives, cameras, etc.

Ok. Quick question, what do I do in the case of the loss of the windows 7 disk? I cannot seem to find mine, and I've tried removing all the excess wires.

The first tutorial didn't work? Has your computer been getting hot?

Follow this tutorial: Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot
Please go through everything, and if nothing works, it will show you how to save the files in your computer. Courtesy of gregrocker
