Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x32 English 1 Pack DSP OEI DVD LC

Hi Guys - afraid I'm a 77year old newby an I guess that this must have been asked a million times but with 170 pages to read I'm afraid I might loose the will to live by the time I have tried to find the answer - having spent all day reading various sites to find a way to fix my HP touchSmart which will not move past the windows coloured squares I think I'm going to try a clean replacement of the whole of my OEM (is that right) installed 7 - amazon have a disk entitled -
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x32 English 1 Pack DSP OEI DVD LCP (PC) -

at about £60 Is this a complete install or is it just a restore or upgrade type of disk which apparently will not do what I want? - and I rea\lly dont fancy spending £170 As you can probably guess - I'm not particularly computer literate either
If you CAN help you'd make a 'sort of' middle-aged man very happy - Thnks Guys

The software you have linked is just windows, it`s the complete operating system, nothing else. ( That`s what you want )

You don`t need to spend any money, everything you need is here.
Ask any questions you like :)

Actually, you will have to buy some blank dvd`s, but thats it.

Does your pc have a dvd burner ?

    Hi Moderators
Like I say, I cann't shift my machine past the opening windows squares so cann't opperate your suggested down load - presently typing on a steam driven laptop thats almost as old as me - afraid my question is - is that (amazon Micrsoft) disc the full thing or will I not be able to get past 'restore point' - 'cause I aint got one - it is, in effect starting from scratch - thanks for the idea though - will need to read the 'how to do its' when I have a dvd that will hope-fully allow me to get started - I have the original HP installed key number of course

Like I said, the disc you have linked is the full operating system.

    Opening squares ?

Not sure what you`re talking about

Your dvd player will tell you right on the front if it`s just a DVD ROM or if it`s a DVD Multi Recorder. Re Writable etc.

    Here`s another very good tutorial.
