Selection of Where Downloads Are to Be Placed

I understand that the default for the Windows 7 system is to

place downloads in the "Downloads" folder. It is my preference

to have downloads placed on my Desktop. How can I accomplish

that?

Perhaps creating a desktop short cut would satisfy your needs. Go to downloads>right click>send to desktop

If you use firefox:
Create a new folder on your desktop, name it downloads or whatever, start firefox, go to options, general tab and click "download files to" and browse to the folder you created. Done!

In IE:
Start Internet Explorer, click on tools button, click view downloads.
In the view Downloads dialog box, click options in the lower left hand corner and browse to the folder you created on the desktop. Done!
