Hi:
It looks like some sort of "proprietary" search engine?
Did you install it?
Did you try searching the Windows control panel to see if it can be uninstalled from there?
Perhaps see here:
Otherwise, you might need either a 3rd-party uninstaller (Revo, etc.) and/or some more formal help with proper junkware/malware removal tools?HTML Code:http://www.voidtools.com/ http://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2210
Hope this helps,
Thanks MM , i should of explained better , i do have the "Everything search engine" as i installed it a long time ago at the recommendations of a few people on this very site .
I am just confused at what it's attempting to tell me like the "fatal error" corrupt message .
Ah, OK.
Until someone comes along who's more familiar with it, have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?
Also, they have a Support page here:
And there's an FAQ page here:HTML Code:http://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/
Thanks,HTML Code:http://www.voidtools.com/faq/
P.S. I expect the mod team might move this thread to the "software" or "browsers" section?
Alright i will try that , thank you very much for your help , your great.
Current version of Everything is 1.3.4.686. Uninstall the one you have then try the new one.
I use this all the time instead of the built-in Windows search.
Might also want to run chkdsk c: /r from a Elevated Command Prompt.
Reply Y to run on boot then reboot. Let it run to completion. It can take an hour or more so be patient.
Edit: Also, post the error in the Everything General forum.
Just realized this could be a corrupted Everything database (.db file). You could try deleting that (or renaming so it won't be used) then create a new one.
I see one in each user account: C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Everything\Everything.db
Make sure Everything is not running then rename to .dbx then start Everything al let it build a new one, see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks everybody
