    Windows 7 format, locked password

Hey guys. My friends passed me on his older computer which he never uses. He has a password lock on it but he cannot for the life of him remember what it is nor find the windows 7 desk. Currently I am stuck with a computer that I am unable to access.

I am usually a mac user (please dont hate me) <3. How can I go about formatting it and restarting the whole computer. i will not have any internet access to this computer either. Primitive I know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

You need a windows 7 install dvd to reinstall windows.

Download the iso file of the version you need from here and burn to dvd at x4 speed.

Download Windows 7 ISOs, Legally and for Free | PCsteps.com

    Free ISO Burner

    Clean Install Windows 7

Look at the version on the COA, you`ll use the key on it to activate windows 7 after you install it.

You need that key, so it has to be readable. If it`s not you have 2 options, call the manufacturer and see if they sell recovery discs or buy Windows 7.

Not sure if the manufacturer could give you a new key, but it wouldn`t hurt to ask, if you need one that is :)

What is the maker and full model number of the computer. Most have a built in recovery partition you can access at boot time to restore the computer to it's factory new state. Should be able to find that info in the online users guide.

Edit: Add me to the list of Idiots. You are using a Mac so ignore my useless advice please.
