Do you have an Alcohol 120% virtual drive running?
ACPI or w/e it is in the bios? Try resetting the bios defaults on the laptop and see what happens. I used to have that problem on an old motherboard, it was just ****ty support from both ends and I just had to deal with it until I got a new one.
i also got this event on my log check it out this could be the problem i hope
Log Name: Application Source: Microsoft-Windows-Winlogon Date: 11/24/2009 10:42:21 PM Event ID: 6005 Task Category: None Level: Warning Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: Luna2 Description: The winlogon notification subscriber is taking long time to handle the notification event (Logoff). Event Xml: 6005 0 3 0 0 0x80000000000000 3280 Application Luna2 Sens Logoff 00000000
You would want to check the Diagnostics-Performance log.
Event Viewer>Windows Logs>Applications>Microsoft>Windows>Diagnostics>Performance>Operational
Google errors to resolve.
Unfortunately the Event ID 100 only tells you how long the shutdown was degraded.
Clues must be found in the error reports which specify which hardware or driver is responsible for the degraded shutdown or startup.
are this it. can i disable the drive. if i can how?
Right click Computer>Manage>Services and turn off the HPsrv to see if it changes any behavior of your HP all-in-one. It shouldn't. It appears to be another one of many unneeded services installed with manufacturer's bloatware.
Then type msconfig into your Start box and in the Startup tab I would uncheck everything you don't absolutely need to start up with the computer because they are just free riders. You only need your AV, poss gadgets and stickynotes. All others can start when you click them.
If there are any issues as a result of these changes, then google each listing to find out exactly what it does, and add it back in if you must. Most aren't needed at all except to leech CPU and RAM.
