Windows 7: Win7 SP1 registry help. No access to Admin

Ahh ok, interesting. I figured those were fixable. Thanks for your input.

Any suggestions @ the user profile and how to get it back up and running? It's strange because 95% of the time during the last few days, I got the user error. A few times when I ran in safe mode (when it would let me), I could log into it........then restart and poof, I'm blocked again.

To be honest, and IMO, I wouldn't mess with trying to save the ship so to speak at this point. I'd backup all of your data and replace the HDD as soon as possible. You could probably fix the issue, but with a bad hard drive it will return and worse other things in the OS are going to start to break, and in fact over time you're data is gone, poof, like magician's flash paper.

This is why I have urged you twice now to backup your data now while you still have a chance. I wouldn't even use the computer too much either until your data is backed up. You can get an USB external HDD. Just buy one that has an adequate amount of space.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Your disk is dying and you get corrupted files. Now it's just a few but you may get an usable disk any moment.
Did you do the data backup?
You must replace your HDD.
My suggestion: buy a small SSD (128G) for Windows and programs and a HDD for data. Also buy a caddy to replace the ODD and to hold the HDD. There is a 9.5 and a 12.7 mm. Choose the one that is same size of your ODD.

You have no idea what a SSD can improve your laptop.

You could see if you have hives in system32\config\regback.

If you have, then you could boot into the media I provided and rename the hives in system32\config then copy in the hives from system32\config\regback

Doing that as we speak. I was able to log into the JS profile (thankfully) by using the registry tweak of renaming the .bak etc etc. So I'm in there now and in your opinion, what is the best way to backup? Use the windows backup or something else?

Thanks for the heads up. The only thing I really need is the desktop and Outlook backed up. So I'll try that after I back everything up. As asked to Mega, what is your suggestion for how to backup? Use the windows feature or something else?

I usually recommend

1) leave system restore turned on - the shadow copies can be useful

2) Make regular images, even if it only once a month. I usually suggest Aomei backupper for most people because it is very simple to use and unobtrusive. The free version is very good - the paid version adds extra features such as the ability to restore an image to different hardware.

I have a couple of other suggestions:

3) Use regbak ( it is free in spite of what it says on the download page ) every time you time you remember - once a month, once every three months, whatever - it gives an extra level of recovery which can be useful

regbak

4) I am fond of O&O DiskImage. It has a lot of unusual functions. There isn't a free version , though pro v11 is available on free giveaway at the moment. I suggest that anybody who is not a complete beginner get a copy while it is free. You can use it as an adjunct to your regular imaging program, or just install it to make the boot disk. That way you can use the advanced functions as and when the need arises.

O&O diskImage Pro 11 is still available on free giveaway.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm going to need a third party app to do it b/c the windows feature keeps giving me errors when attempting to back up. Just FYI:
One drive partitioned into 4 other drives
C:
D:
F:
G:
H:
Z: which is a backup 1TB redundant drive server (Synology) but have never used it before.

Edit: Will a disc image copy the whole drive and then you can re-populate it on another drive? Or does it only copy certain files?
