Want New Files to be Read Only

    Hi All,

I have .csv reports that are automatically generated and put in a network folder.

I would like these reports to automatically be Read Only, so that my coworkers can view them but have to go to some effort to modify them.

I tried making the folder Read Only - but those settings only applied to files that were already in the folder, not new ones that are added.

Does anyone have any ideas? My searches have only found people who want to remove the Read Only flag, not add it.

    Thank you!

Does this help => Read-only File and Folder Attribute.

Thanks for responding, Paul! No, that didn't help (it only changes currently existing files to Read Only, not new ones that are added to the folder). However, a link after my post did!
