You were requested to put your problem ab-initio with all details in the System Security sub-forum, but you posted it again in Hardware and Devices and then tagged on to another old thread.

Go to System Security sub-forum, click on the New Thread tab on top left, give a title and restate your problem. You may be sure to get a response focussed to your specific problem and query on how to get rid of all virus on your system..

Question regarding system volume information folder
Is it normal for a brand new external drive bought in year 2013 to have a system volume information folder that is created in 2012? I thought the folder should be the date it is first plug into a computer?

When i format the drive, it was formatted successfully, but inside the formatted drive one of the folder is created named as "System Volume Information". I use an external portable hard drive for backups of my downloaded programs and system backup (not scheduled just manual backups). There is an empty folder "System Volume Information" but i can't remove it.
