    How to stop window animation

When I open one particular program Win7 animates the window by drawing corners in successfully larger sizes. This slows down the opening of the program. I'd like to find out how to stop Win7 from doing that.

I have already turned off animation. This is an example of what it looks like.

    Thanks,

I believe this is built into the program and would require fiddling with some code that we don't have to stop it from doing that.

Have you checked all the settings in the program to see if there is anything that can switch it off?

This is a problem with the program and not with Windows 7; you may want to try running it compatibility mode for the OS it was originally designed to run on and seeing if that helps.

Sorry, it doesn't look like there's a way. I checked out every possible resource on the program and there's no mention of startup/window animation.

    Thank you for the reply.

I have tried in compatibility mode and it didn't fix it. It runs fine in XP.

I tried putting a check mark in Properties, Disable desktop composition. That does stop it from happening. Unfortunately it also makes the entire screen go black for a second every time I start it and stop it.

    Thanks,
