Hi there.

I'm currently running Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I bought the genuine key from eB*y. The seller said that the key can activate both 32 bit or 64 bit. And i'm already activate it for 32 bit version.

I'm planning moving to 64 bit.
Can i use that key, that already activated for 32 bit, for my new 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate?
Of course its on the same machine.

Thank you.
Big regards.

Some of my friends said that the key will work both 32 bit and 64 bit BUT it will only take "one at a time activation".
Means that if it already activate for 32 bit it can't be use to activate 64 bit.
Is this correct?

What that means is you cant use the key simultaneously on 2 systems. If you are activated right now on 32 bit, you need to wipe out windows and format the hard drive, that'll take care of any legal or EULA aspects. After that you are free to use the key on a 64 bit system.

I see now.
Yes, I'll delete the C: drive, create the new one, and install the x64 version.
Problem solved.
Thanks for your help Bill2.
Big regards.
