Making a DVD out of a .vob File

Do any of these work with Paid for and downloaded movies from Amazon?

When we go out of town, I can buy and download a movie using a much faster cable connection than my DSL.

The problem I'm having is backing up my movies!! I've lost three and ended up paying for DVD's to replace what I already paid for.
I still have two movies in the Amazon unbox Video player and don't know how to back them up

@Jacee :what you could try this: back up the movie with DVDShrink, have it create an ISO file which then in turn could be burned with any free burning software (Imgburn, BurnAware etc.)
It might not work with all movies (depending on the used protection)
In those cases "pretreat" them with DVDFab HD Decrypter. Free to Decrypt DVD and Blu-ray, free to Copy DVD and Blu-ray.

I'm not familiar with Amazon downloads. What format is it in when you get it on disk? Is there some DRM or something on it?

You got to be kidding me...are you talking about REAL DVDs with Vob/Ifo structure or is that any kind of Flash based Video on Demand like Hulu ??
Those services usually stream via rtmp protocol (or one of its derivates) and can be somewhat tricky to save.

Well, It says you can make a DVD for backup, which I've done. It only plays on the computer that I downloaded it to, tho'. After reading this article, I suppose I'm out of luck if I ever have to reformat that computer. Having my head examined would probably be better than downloading this type of video.

It's all about DRM and their Unbox player (which I don't have)
I tried all my progs/tricks..it's a no go, sorry
