Unplug router from wall and computer and shut both the computer and router off.
Then plug router back in and hook up computer and re-boot.
I had to do this with mine and it worked for me.
Post back and let us know how you are doing.

Xnefo,
1. Check router by using another computer(friiends) to see if theirs work..could be bad router!
2. Download router's driver for manufacture's web site
3. If connecting with USB try another slot or could be bad USB cable.
4. Fill in System specs and list name of router and model.

5. Welcome to 7 Forum and post back and we will get this resolved so hang in there.

connect another computer the same way ( wired or wireless) to the router. If it loses connection too then you know your router is having issues. If it does not lose connection then its your pc.

Without this info troubleshooting is like tossing darts blindfolded.

when you lose connection, see if you can still access the router or the modem.
Our router is going out, disconnects 1 to 2 times a day, and when it disconnects we can't access the router.
All the computers revert to the 169.xxx.xxx.xxx IP addresss when it happens.

If possible, bypass the router and plug the line from your ISP directly into your computer. If you lose the connection then you can rule out the router.

can you post a screenshot of your router homepage?

make sure your idle time out is set to 0

otherwise it disconnects every 30-35 seconds

just a thought
