OK GFX geeks, now a request from a demanding customer Be patient with me, this takes time to explain.

I have always used themes with one wallpaper only, I do not like my wallpaper changing all the time. The wallpaper must please my eye, be calm and balanced. I don't have any desktop icons, but I like (and need) my gadgets and Sticky Notes. They have they custom places, staying always on the same place.

At the moment I have a wallpaper which I like very much. The screenshot here shows that wall and the gadgets & Sticky notes where I want to have them. The pic also shows where and how big my taskbar is:



When I ordered my current sig from PooMan UK, I asked him to include stylished orbs of the Finnish and German flags and Windows logo. I asked him to make it dark, and that the sig should have elements of two of my favourite "hobbies", single malt whisky and cigar or smoke of a cigar.

IMO, PooMan did excellent job.

So: I would like to have a wallpaper, based at least partially on the current one and it's colours, with the same elements I have in my sig (except the Seven Forums badges, any text and those green leaves on the left which are there only for Christmas). If you feel there's too many elements to include, making the wall messy, leave rather those orbs out but include cigar and whisky.

Here are some pics of Laphroiag Single Malt, my favourite whisky, if you feel you could use one of them even partly. Googling Laphroiag gives thousands of more pics to choose:





Finally, if you choose to use an image of a whisky glass, remember that this here is not a real glass for Single Malt:


It is suitable only for normal, blended household whiskies and that comical brownish liquid the Americans call bourbon

The real Single Malt needs a so called nosing glass like this:


And no ice in the glass! Only fools destroy the divine Single Malt with ice.

That's it. Would it be possible to make something to a really demanding customer?

No worries there....I have no interest in going back to it. I mainly want the wallpapers to drive the family a little nuts if they see it. :devil2:
I made it a point to keep my Jim Beam coffee mug after I stopped drinking for the same reason....just to prove to them that I was just fine and not going to revert to my evil ways.

At the moment, IMHO, the orbs and whisky (bottle, box and glass) are coming through too much, hard (hope you understand, translated that from Finnish, don't know how to say it better). I would like the images blend smoother to the background, and orb colours not so strong, the difference between pics and background is too strong. Also, orbs could be smaller?

I got big problems noticing bourbon drinkers want to use the same concept, too. Sacrilege. Bourbon = brownish corn schnapps, to be drinked only when there is absolutely nothing else available... Rather with enough Coke or similar to hide the "original" taste. It should not be mentioned when we are talking about whisky (whiskey is word found by distilleries of that mentioned brownish corn schnapps when they realized nobody would believe their product is whisky).

When you sign your name twice at the end of your request either your brain has just come out of the blender or hidden inside one of the Orbs that you want smaller.

For me, having a few drinks of whisky or whiskey I wouldn't be able to tell the difference............You might even start looking good!:roflmao::roflmao:

Arc pal I hope it's ok for me to offer a tip.
I think what Kari is trying to say is that the objects are jumping out of the page to much (a bit to cut out eg. below top image) and they maybe need to blend more subtly in with the background.(eg. below bottom image)
Try and let the background absorb the objects. I could be wrong but these are just my personal thoughts.

We are very close, Arc. First of the two is better. The orbs are still demanding focus a bit too much. I simply love those PooMan's orbs, would like you to use the latter ones, those which almost disappera to the background.

Also whisky glass needs some retoucing; it shoul be transparen, so you can see the background through the glass, especially upper part of the glass where there is no whisky.
