My line in input from my MSI PRO-E X58 motherboard is only picking up the right channel when i record from my dj mixer, it just suddenly happened last week whilst recording.

Now I cant fix it, tried updating, unistalling the driver completely and letting windows update patch it but to no avail.

Any shed any light on this for me?

Thanks in advance

Correct first check cable and also make and un-make the connection many times. Do you leave this connection for long periods of time if so you may also want to try a small amount of Caig Gold.
DeoxIT® GOLD, #G5MS-15
Little goes a long way, just like thermal paste less is more. Great for all audio connections and more.

Yep, DeoxIt is the way to go, I have some just to keep my older 24 channel board quiet, some of these connections have been hooked up a couple of years.

If you don't have any contact cleaner a little bit of alcohol on the plug (at least 100 proof) will do. Work the plug in and out a few times.
