Hmm. Until IE separates each tab into separate processes as Chrome does, and make it less prone to have toolbars installed with almost everything you download, I think I'll stick with Chrome. Google can collect my information for all I care anyway. I have nothing to hide

IE already does that. In fact IE was the first browser todo just that. Even to use the process isolatetion (sandbox) to further secure it. Second, Microsoft has no control over if Product X wants to install Toolbar Y.

This feature won't make me move to IE 9. I could find an add-on for Firefox that does just that, I'm sure. But, I don't really care if they track what I'm doing, I have nothing to hide.

If they get a good skinning/no-script add-on, then I'm there. FF is too bloated for me now as it is.

I gotta go with wpurcell on this one. THE main reason i dont use Google/Chrome is the amount of data gathered.(other reasons too.... but the data gathering is the kicker) I too "have nothing to hide" BUT...... thats the way to a slow erosion of your rights. If you think you have "nothing" to hide , you could be right. For now. But what about tomorrow when they decide that internet usage means TOO much information in your hands? ( think China and other places) I'll stick with my (semi)safe surfing habits and my Opera. For now at least.

They have found spyware in firefox addons. so I use firefox with no addons. But i use ie9 almost all the time now.

It is already that way. I turn 65 in a couple months and eligible for Medicare. Every website I got to has an ad for a Medicare Supplement Insurance. That is no coincidence.

Trust me. People are not going to pay for access to a whole lot of web sites.
Regardless of the tracking they might do. I won't pay to access Amazon just cause they stop using tracking cookies. I can assure you, a million others won't either. They will lose a very very large majority of their customers.

So, please be specific in your statement above.

Also, I wouldn't pay to be a member of any forums, which is why I am also not a member at Experts-Exchange.com
