How do i get rid a rootkit im guessing some type of Anti-virus but could you recommend any for my specific problem this is the first time something like this has ever happened to my computer. thanks for responding carltr6

I am not a security expert. I suggest that you start a thread in the System Security section and ask for help there: System Security - Windows 7 Forums. There are some really good pros there. You can tell them that you posted in the BSOD section, uploaded your files, and they contained a rootkit.

If you have a system image when you know your system was clean, you can reformat your drive and re-image it. Just so you know, malware can certainly cause BSOD's.

I tried with the driver verifier but its not working for me, because once i reboot the system its hang up in stat up windows itself. Then now i restore the system with the previous back up.

Can you please suggest some other way of finding out the issue.

Very good job of following the instructions in the tutorial. OK, let's test your RAM with Memtest. Please follow the instructions in this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html. Run Memtest from a cold boot after your computer has been off for a an hour or two. Let it run for a minimum of 7 passes. This will take 6-8 hours. Errors will show on your screen in red. If you see errors, you can stop the test. Post back with your results.

I removed it, so I've VM'd him with the reason for the removal of his thread.

i did the memory test also it passes 9 test. after that i reboot the systam my key board and mouse has not working, so i reinstall the OS with less application today evening. We will see what's going to happen . I will update you once i reach home.

Still if the problem persists what we need to do?

Since you reinstalled Win 7, which is a good idea, we will have to see what happens next. As far as troubleshooting goes, you are starting over with a new install. Upload any dumps you get and we will go from there.

today i did not get any system crash this is a surprise for me. But i have installed only limited application. May be today i will install some more application and see what happens.

Moreover still i did not activate the windows its in trail period only. I will activate and see the results.

No its not going well. yesterday after few hours my computer does not show any hard drive located in place. I received an error for setting up back up and when i was selecting my hard drive its was showing no hard drive list. Then i wen to the disk mangement and ther also my drives not shown .

Finaly again i reboot the OS, then all my files got formatted and my disk partition also gone. So i did everything from the beginning, so today i need to check whteher any problem arise today eveing.
