Motherboard for USB3 & SATA3

Cpu i5 or AMD 1090t or whatever. I can pick out a motherboard that will support USB3 and SATA3 and of course I will have the 2 HD for them. I don't know crap about motherboards but when I pick one out to build my new computer what should I be looking at bus speed and so forth because I don't want to pick out a motherboard that will support them but is slow as mud so why bother so I want to do this right and another hundred here or there don't matter but I don't need a dragster just a Corvet. So can anyone tell me what I might want to take a hard look at on a motherboard?

Wait for Sandy Bridge to be re-released in a couple of months.

You are overthinking the process. First, choose a processor. If Sandy Bridge, you'll be waiting until April. If you want one of the previous gen Cire series, you can find great boards, such as ones use the X58 chipset. Then choose a reliable brand. There are plenty fo junk mobo makers out there, so stick to a well known one, like Gigabyte. Once you have that, pick at your memory, and you are good to go.

For the AMD processor's may I suggest the mobo I just picked up.

If you want to keep your costs down I'd go i7 920,930 or 950 with an Asus Mobo, infact thats what I did! (930). The p658d premium supports 6gb sata and usb3, the later with only 2 rear ports. If you definitely want these features your board will cost more Sandy bridge would be nice but it'll be costly for a while, both the CPU and MOBO, and who knows, there may be bugs to work out at first? With the 930 and Mobo combo above you can obtain 3.5 Ghz OC'ing with a good fan/heatsink which will give Sandybridge a run for it's money.

Just FYI AMD is moments away from launching it's new Bulldozer eight core line of chips, this will further lower an already great value in the quad core and six core chips. You can bet that with Intel's major Sandy snafu AMD will be very careful to fully test all aspects which no doubt is standard operating procedure.
