The Daily Show - IE -Pop Up

When visiting the Daily Show site IE9 RC displays a pop up warning that does not go away and basically won't allow cancel or open commands. A bit annoying.

Works fine here, no such issue

Works OK for me. No pop ups, but due to geographical constraints I cannot view videos.

Strange no one else is having an issue with the Daily Show site. I have the 64bit version and it comes up everytime and crashes IE.

Also another unrealted issue I've noticed is that IE has been causing a total screen resfresh of my desktop when it loads a new site. (desktop icons dissapear and then render themselves again)

I'm attaching my image again. maybe it will wortk for you this time?

with only 1- 2 IE-RC open it use more then 200MB RAM but FF and Chroome use less then 90MB RAM,
so no i don't like much this RC IE9

Have a screen shot of that????

I had 3 instances of IE open and it's less than 160MB (working set), less than 65MB (private set). Also you must really have a small amount of RAM installed to worry about 200MB's

lol but that's when you open IE9 RC, but try to play at king.com and then you'll see, or watch youtube and then you'll see , it will use more then 100 - 200MB CPU

You're amongs the minority that gets away with it. It is ill advised to install over a beta.

I did and didn't have any problems downloading and installing.

i have 3 Gig on my win7 32-bit , so i think that's enough !!

and i did the same thing with my BETAIE9 and it used not more then 120MB but now with IE9RC it use around 200MB.

so why the concern when 0.0666666667 of it gets used while browsing?

OK I usually don't install betas, RCs, etc. but since I'm clean installing Win 7 on Feb 22 (if SP1 RTW does just that) I figured I'd see what the talk is all about. So far it doesn't make much of a difference, and that's a good thing. I don't know though, that cut off Back button could be a deal breaker, Microsoft.

IE 8 used 200mb as well as IE 7. It's typical for a finished or nearly finished like the RC browser to run at about 200mb. The beta is more of a basic shell of what the finished version will look like not the finished product.

At present with two IE 9 windows opens I'm seeing 49,000+kb for one and some 53,628kb for the other. Another already finished browser(unnamed) sees about 61,652kb with all three open at once.

That converts to about 49mb for one and 53+mb for the second IE 9 window as seen in the processes tab of the task manager That's quite a bit less then 120mb even.

I think my original post got lost somewhere or I put it in the wrong place so...
Have got 9 beta if I go to the RC will my settings for the favourites bar transfer to the RC without me having to reload them?

Plus do I have to unistall 9 beta or does it just "update" the beta?

Am doing this because my beta is playing up by putting up my searchs in one fnt and then reverting to another plus some screen flickering.

Your settings will transfer no problem.

I updated from a RC Escrow build to the RC, you should be able to do so also from beta -> RC, but some will advise you to uninstall and re-install
