So I built My self a New Machine
New Parts:
A Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H
AMD 1090T SIX CORE back edition
8 GIG of Mushkin 1333 mhz
corsair 650 power supply
LG DVD burner
2x 2tb Hitachi Drives
2x 1tb Hitachi Drives existing
1x Corsair Force Series Solid State Drive, existing

Now Heres the question well its what ive done actually
I booted to my SDD only no other drives attached it already had Windows 7 Installed and loaded the Motherboard Driver Disc when in to windows
then I booted to the Bios and Enabled ACHI
rebooted
windows found the new Achi drivers
and it found all other drivers without any problems
the thing is fast and im getting full speed moving files around

Question: do you think Ill need to reinstall WIndows, So far it dosnt seem to have any problems.

also I loaded the latest Video Driver from ATI and it seems its slowed the boot screen marginally maybe a few seconds on the windows animation, I think I can live with that,

and the power its using is about 100watts less than my old SYSTEM going by my UPS data

Nice build...now to your question at hand. Professionally, yes when you have a new build always do a clean install, this will eliminate any bugs preexisting and those that might arise later do to software/hardware compatibility/conflict issues...if any. Personally, it's your build, run it like it is for awhile and test drive it for a month and see how she does.....you can always do a clean install later.

Dear Britjoe,
Hearty congrats, mate! When you acheive something big as this you feel like sharing it and thump your chest and yell"yeeeeeey,i did it"!

Whose advise did you take to buy the parts, b'cause the inter-compatibility is so vital? Did you take recourse to any manual and if so, kindly point me in that direction! Also, was it a solo job?
Best wishes and sweet dreams,
Sreedhav

I researched the Intrewebs for the parts, and asked advice at the store before purchasing, the Motherboard has a built in Video card, with side port ram, that I thought was a little weak in size initially the specs I had been reading said it had only 128MB but I guess the gigabyte manufactures obviously agreed with my evaluation and it came with 650mb on board, Im no Gamer, this is mainly used as my Media centre, and it allso has a 24" touch screen mounted to the wall next to my LAZY BOY, in my living room.
The AMD 6 core was over the top for my application to, but for the price I had to do it.

Word of advice to guys thinking of Mounting a 24 inch touch screen to the wall next to your lazy boy, Do it while your wife is Out, its better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission :)
