Help fixing hd audio device on ultimate please -have tried other fixes

I know a lot of people seem to ask the same question but I cannot solve this at all by trying any methods I have tried online so I decided I needed some help more personally!

I'm on windows 7 ultimate x86.

I was recently working on a music recording program when all of a sudden my speakers emitted an odd 'whine' and then my computer seized up completely. I then had to restarted it and when it came back on i received no audio what-so ever.

I have "no audio output device is installed" in the bottom right where the audio icon normally is and when I click troubleshoot it tells me that it is something to do with my High Definition Audio Device driver/s. I let it try and update them but it always says it failed to install.

Also in the device manager under Sound, video and game controllers all 7 entries have an exclamation mark including the realtek HD audio and the other 6 microsoft ones. When i right click and go to properties it says

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.
(Code 19)"

I have tried disabling then enabling, installing and reinstalling the drivers from the realtek website and just uninstalling the drivers from the Device manager but to no avail and I am really stumped as to what has happened and how I can fix it.

All help would be appreciated!
oh and I can run Everest to give you a system over view if that would help? Just aslong as you say which bit you'll need

Try re-installing the Audio driver from here....
Realtek

done that already but to no avail, just says the same thing as before even after multiple tries :/
Tis' a pain cause it was working fine before

I wish I had the opportunity to do so... sadly I have no restore points, I think stupidly they were disabled a while back

Any other ideas other than reinstalling the drivers? I can't windows update thingy wither because it always says device driver failed to install"

Restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then select Last Known Good Configuration.
This rolls back to the most recent successful registry configuration.

gaaaaah this is immpossible it would seem, thanks for your help so far though.
Sadly again, no luck, it is still stating that 'no audio output device is installed' over the volume icon and still no-play in the device manager, it's having none of it :S

No luck again sadly... it said that there were errors, and that it fixed them then I retried to double check and it said no more problems, restarted and still have regestry/driver problems.
it is looking like I'll have to buy a new soundcard and if that doesn't work I'll have to do a full reinstall of windows 7 which I am really hoping is not the case!
Any last possible ideas before I give up completely? :S haha

Now that the file checker has supposedly fixed things, try doing a hardware scan from the device manager. Hopefully it will load the drivers.

still no luck my friend!
What I have done is the file checker, then I have scanned for new hardware again with no results other than the code 19 still.
Should I try uninstalling realtek from here and then reinstalling it manually? I also have another entry now so there is "High Definition Audio Device" and "Realtek high definition audio"

Like is there a specific routine I should follow after this file checker thingy?

Download and install the Nvidia video driver which will include High Definition Audio Device driver.
Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers.
Yes, uninstall the Realtek driver and install it manually.
