Asus tools ruined Graphics Card!

Hi, I tried the GPU tools from Asus and now every time I boot the pc with the Graphics card in action it freezes and it is the graphics card as now am using the on board graphics chip.

I have removed the software, stopped the services unneeded and reset the bios back to defaults and still it freezes.

Did you change any voltage settings when using the tool? I used the tools and unknowingly changed the voltage and blew a memory card.

If you overclocked it, you need to test it. Try 3DMark and Furmark, and if it stops responding give the card more power.

I fixed it now and the overclocking tool was automatic. My psu is 700w and capable of this graphics card easly. 'youwanvista' the pc froze in about 30 seconds of running and locked out. A process was being launched and I disabled it.

Once you start seeing artifacts on the screen, the graphics card is either not getting enough voltage, or its being stressed too much (especially if you're overclocking a lot with stock cooling). If you know it's the latter, take it down a notch until you find your sweet spot. The computer might freeze, and in that case it'd be better to just hold down the power button for ~5 seconds and forcefully shut it down.

It was automatic! Please I understand that if you oc too much it can freeze and if its a too low a voltage it will freeze. It was automatic what could I do? It set it for me. And its an xfx so the stock cooler is decent.

I manually oc'ed to 630mhz and it is stable.
