I'm sure it would work the same with Vista, as it would with Seven.

i would be it explicitly states that i need to be running vista or 7 and im running neither of those

I'm going to look into this problem a bit more, but could you please fill out your 'system specs'? It would help to solve the issue, knowing your system specs that is.
