Solved Request; how to make the windows as a ROUTER?

Hello,
i have a contract with the carrier in my country for one year internet membership, but the problem is that this carrier provide the kind of membership that i want only on a data card inserted inside a usb cable:-

so is there any way possible to make the windows act like a router so that my iphone would connect to it as a wireless device?

Thanks a lot Mike - that installer kindly loaded the SweetIM search toolbar, and replaced search.sweetim.com as homepage and search tool instead of Google into all my browsers and Windows Messenger too - had to spend half an hour uninstalling it and running Malwarebytes to get rid of it.

That's amazing. It didn't install anything like that on the machines I installed it on. It has been a while since I used it. I will have a look at it.

It does not install that toolbar on my machine! There are also plenty of other people using it, even some here it seems;

I am sure that if they had problems with toolbars etc they would have said so?

Despite an extensive search, I can't find any mention of various toolbars in Connectify, the only references I can find are to "open-candy".

I have no idea what happened there.

As far as I can determine the SweetIm is a completely separate download, as here;

SweetIM Toolbar (Firefox) Software Informer: Latest version download, news and info about this SweetIM Technologies Ltd. program. SweetIM Toolbar for Firefox is an add-on toolbar for Firefox.

a lot of people complain about it being difficult to remove. Anyway, this toolbar is NOT installed on my machine when I install connectify.


You can get it here as well http://connectify.me/ but I often prefer to use sites like CNET because they test for spyware , which saves me having to do it.

It won't run on this machine of course, because I don't have WiFi enabled. But it does not install any toolbars.

I can't find any reference at all to that toolbar being installed by Connectify. I have searched dozens of reviews and various problem sites.

I can only conclude that something else must have installed that toolbar on your machine. I would be most interested in anything you find about that installer.

I've just installed connectify from the download I made yesterday, and no problems. The Sweetim incident must have been a coincidence, although I don't know what set it off - a mystery - apologies again. Nothing on the CNET page or the connectify page.

It can only have been from the Michelin advert in the right-hand panel at CNET's download page. Talk about driving people mad...
