My sis's laptop ran into this issue recently.

Whenever she presses "print" in any program, be it Word,Notepad etc, the program will just crash and not respond.

Any possible solutions will be appreciated. :)

A couple of possible things to try.
- Turn printer off, then back on.
- Clear printer cache/jobs waiting in queue.
- If printer is connected via USB port, try another port.
- If you checked for driver updates through Windows Update, try going to manufacturer's website.
- Try all print options (eg: right click document > print; file > print; etc.)
- If possible, try printer on a different computer.
- Check manufacturer's support site (usually support.lexmark.com, support.hp.com, etc.)
Probably more troubleshooting ideas but these are most common.

I tried printing on 2 different printers but it doesnt work too :(

Tried all available USB ports on my sis's laptop too .

Just worried it might require a restore

I think I'd try System File Checker first. If your machine has any damaged, corrupt, etc system files, SFC will try to repair/replace them. If it detects any bad files, run SFC 3 times.

Depending how recently the problem started, you might be able to use System Restore to go back to a date/time prior to when the problem began. It won't affect personal files, documents, emails, etc but it could uninstall any programs, program updates, etc that occurred between the time of the restore point and today.

Hello Raynian
Maybe if you try to uninstall the printer and the drivers then reboot and reinstall again after a scan with your antivirus and an antimalware.
That’s a thought.
Good luck
